NERI has established cooperation agreements and
networks with a number of research institutions
and universities in Denmark and abroad working
with scientifically related fields. The institutional
agreements act as a framework to stimulate
research, monitoring, scientific advisory capacity
and research education.
NERI participates in a large number of national
and international research programmes. In
addition, NERI participates in scientific working
groups, commissions, etc. under such bodies as
the EU and UN. NERI is the National Focal Point
for the European Environment Agency, and
participates in environmental assistance tasks in
