Jayaraj Annapackiam College for Women, a synonym for sterling service in the higher education of women and household name in Periyakulam Educational District was established on 5th July 1971 and has been managed by the Sisters of St. Anne of Trichirapalli. Imparting higher education to the women of this rural area i.e. economically, educationally, socially and culturally backward was a glorious dream jointly dreamt and fulfilled by the efforts of Mother Lucy Crescentia Mary, the Mother General of St. Anne?s Congregation, Trichy, and the philanthropic members of the illustrious family of Jayaraj Chellathurai Nadar.
Perched on a hillock, 2 metres away from the din and bustle of Periyakulam, Theni district, the college has been the focus of Women's Higher Education.
