The Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics( INFN ) is a public institution of researh. Founded in 1951, INFN is one of the most important and prestigious institute of research in Italy. The main responsability of INFN are the coordination and the finacing of the foundamental research in nuclear, subnuclear and astroparticle physics. Pavia Section was founded in 1973.
