The Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences is a national and international visitor research institute. It runs research programmes on selected themes in mathematics and the mathematical sciences with applications over a wide range of science and technology. It attracts leading mathematical scientists from the UK and overseas to interact in research over an extended period. Scientific programmes are selected by an international Scientific Steering Committee, the Director of the Institute is advised by a (UK) National Advisory Board, and the management of the Institute is in the hands of a Management Committee. The Institute is funded from a variety of sources including EPSRC, Cambridge University and Colleges, The Leverhulme Trust and The London Mathematical Society. The Institute also has a variety of scientific and other links with EPDI, ERCOM and CNRS.
