The main goals of ICS's research are:
the development of software systems for solving both practical and theoretical problems in the theory of dynamical systems and numerical and analytical exploration of dynamical systems using advanced computer methods.
The Institute cooperates with other academic and scientific centers, thus promoting world-wide consolidation of scientific research.
Another mission for ICS consists in publishing scientific books, mostly on mathematics, physics, biology and oil-and-gas technologies. In addition to printing books, electronic libraries are released regularly. Moreover, the following journals are published: Regular & Chaotic Dynamics — International scientific journal published in English and Quantum Computers & Computing — International scientific journal published in English.
