Kobe University which is located in the international city Kobe attaches importance to "exchange with foreign culture", and is developing as a university rich in internationality. We promote even more educational and research exchange with overseas under the "Kobe University international exchange promotion framework." Moreover, We have 11 faculties, 9 graduate schools, one research institute and many centers, covering 4 scientific disciplines namely humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and medicine and a life sciences.

We are aiming at "a university as a living body of knowledge" and "Exchange with foreign culture" is thought of as important and we vigorously promote cooperation between industry, academia, government and the private sector as a contribution to society, which is the third mission of a university after education and research.
