All-Union Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization was found in 1930. It is the one of the most famous scientific institutions in Russia. Institute was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and Red Banners for his services to the state and science. In 2016, the Institute has been reorganized into Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM. It has been joined with famous scientific institutions VIESH and GOSNITI. Currently, the Center VIM unites seven scientific institutions from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ryazan and Moscow region. Now the Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM is the leading research center of the country in the field of agroengineering science, machine-technological modernization of the national agriculture and the implementation of the latest new generation intelligent and robotic technologies in agricultural production.
