PAPERS, PRESENTED AT THE CONFERENCE

Phenomenology of ripples in graphene

S. A. Ktitorovab, R. I. Mukhamadiarova

a Ioffe Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia
b St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University LETI, St. Petersburg, Russia
Abstract: The ripples are considered an incommensurate superstructure in a two-dimensional crystal, appearing as a result of the formation of periodic solutions in an in-plane optical phonon subsystem. The possible instability of the flexural subsystem is also discussed.
Keywords: Landau functional, graphene, ripples, incommensurate, curvature.
