Abstract: The problem of whether a class of mixing transformations is generic can be reduced to approximation problems. It is shown that a generic mixing can be approximated in the lead metric by transformations with a sufficiently wide set of limit operators. The results are used to prove that some of the spectral properties are generic.
Keywords: mixing transformation, limit operator, generecity, spectral property.
