Abstract: A numerical solution algorithm of dynamic problems of the theory of elasticity using the combination of uniform and quasi-equidistant grids is considered. Lax's smoothing is applied for suppression spurious perturbation caused by grid irregularity. Effectiveness of the algorithm has been shown by the example of solution one and two-dimensional problems when a nonuniform grid with a small number of nodes is used actually for modeling a nonreflecting boundary condition.
