Large-eddy simulation of circle turbulent impingement jet

Abstract: Large-eddy simulation of non-stationary flow and heat transfer in the region of interaction of circle turbulent jet with normal flat surface is considered. The filtered Navier-Stokes equations are closed with the RNG sub-grid scale model taking into account of stream lines curvature in the region of flow development. The calculations are established for different relative distances from nozzle exit to surface and Reynolds numbers. The correlation of Nusselt number distribution along surface with jet vortex structure is discussed. The comparison of local and integral properties of the flow with experimental and numerical data is developed.
