Abstract:
The numerical investigation of evolution of far momentumless turbulent wake in a linearly stratified media has been performed using three mathematical models. The computational results are compared with experimental data. The satisfactory description of the anisotropic decay of turbulence in a far wake gives the model which includes the differential equation for the transport of the triple correlations of vertical velocity component fluctuations.
