Abstract: The numerical research of the supersonic flowing self-oscillating regimes in the open axisymmetric stepped cavity is carried out. The ideal gas model was used. The obtained self-oscillations are discovered to be similar to the pulsation's on the cylindrical body with the needle. A description of the flow process is given, the most essential structural elements of the flow are investigated. It is obtained that the interdependency in the adjoining flow regions is more considerable than one earlier believed.
