Abstract:
For the kinetics of the mass transfer process in the Onsager form, the problems of the separation of a multicomponent mixture that minimizes energy consumption in processes of a given capacity and the optimal distribution of mass transfer surfaces (apparatus sizes) between separation steps in systems using mechanical or electrical energy are considered. An algorithm for choosing the separation order and calculation formulas for the optimal distribution of contact areas are obtained. The concept of reduced components concentrations and fractions is introduced as the ratio of their concentrations to the square root of the specific permeability coefficients. An example of calculation is given.
