Superfast calculation method of multicomponent plasma composition and thermodynamics

Abstract:
Algorithm of plasma composition calculation is described in details. It is based on the
improved Raizer method. We compare calculation results obtained by this method with
solution of the Saha equations accounting for electron degeneration. We propose new
method of solution of equation in one variable. For calculations of multicomponent
plasma composition, this method has the same robustness as the dichotomy method and
is much faster than the Brent method. The calculation formulas for thermodynamic functions of plasma are provided.
