Abstract: The way to numerical research of oil distribution in heterogeneous beds is considered. This way based on a heterogeneity model that allows for specific properties of bed-fluids system, namely capillary pressure and residual saturation wich depend on porous space structure. It is shown that in horizontal bed where porosity and permeability are vary lengthwise the bed, the inclination of water-oil surface can as to improve oil trap properties so to worsen them. The method of oil reserves estimate in heterogeneous beds is offered. This method based on an inverse problem of saturation fields determination. The efficiency of the method is shown.
