Modelling of the oil spills weathering at the sea

Abstract:
A model of the spreading of the oil spill based on ordinary differential equations (ODE) based on consideration of the balance of forces acting on the axially symmetric slick proposes. The proposed model differs from the similar models with a special choice of the coefficients of some enforcement members in the ODE. These coefficients are chosen from the condition of the Fay's formula derivation from the basic equation of the model. This derivation is implemented by the adjustment of the forces on each Fay's stage of spreading. Additionally the model considers the main processes of weathering based on the method of "pseudocomponents" and the general statement of the problem in the form of the Cauchy task for the set of differential equations and additional relationships. The simulation of transformation of oil spill for various parameters and comparing with observations were conducted.
