Generation of waves by a shock wave sliding along the shallow water surface

References:
Abstract: We consider the problem of generation of waves by a shock wave which moves out from the solid ledge to the shallow water surface. We introduce the analytical and numerical solutions of the problem. We show the characteristic features of the generated waves. The typical dependences of the surface wave parameters on those of the shock wave are revealed.
