Abstract:
In this work we consider the numerical analysis of temperature dynamics of railway embankment in permafrost. Mathematical formulation of problem with appropriate boundary conditions is provided and numerical implementation based on finite element method, which allows more precisely consider the geometry and structure of objects to model is built. The results of soil temperature forecasting for different form of embankment and variations of boundary conditions are given. We also made 3D modeling of influence of thermal insulating materials and seasonal cooling devices on thermal condition of soil embankment of the railway.
