Abstract:
A review is presented of mathematical models of the generation, evolution and decay of an aircraft jetvortex wake in the turbulent atmosphere, as well as of models of the physical processes occurring in the wake (water vapour condensation, droplet collision due to Brownian wandering and turbulent fluctuations of the carrying medium, coagulation and break-up of the drops, scattering of the sounding radiation by them). Results of numerical modeling of 3D polydisperse visualizing aerosol tail of a civil aircraft in the surroundings of a modern busy airport are presented. The results obtained may be used also for investigation of the atmosphere contamination with aircraft engine exhaust in an airport vicinity and along the flight corridors.
