Abstract:
The problem of simulation and rendering of printer ink layer is described in the paper. Characterizing parameters of the problem are high volume pigment concentration, small pigment sizes (10–500 nm) and thin ink layer ($\sim$1 mkm). Therefore a diffraction problem solution is necessary for correct simulation of this material. Additional problem complexity is related to ink rendering because it is necessary to convert diffraction problem solution into form applicable for computer graphics algorithms. Results of this work were successfully applied to the process of elaboration of new types of printer inks.
