References:
Abstract: The investigation of thermal processes in nickel irradiated by heavy ions of uranium in the frame of thermal spike model with taking into account the phase transitions is performed. Modeling of the dynamics of phase transitions is carried out on the base of the Stefan problem in the frame of enthalpy approach. By the numerical simulation obtained the size of areas where occurred a melting process and given the comporative analysis with a model that does take into accounts the phase transitions.
Keywords: thermal spike model, phase transition, modeling, enthalpy.
