Abstract: The mathematical model of process of magnetic reconnection in a vicinity of critical points is discussed. The diagram method of the catastrophe theory for research of process of transformation of structurally unstable magnetic configurations in structurally stable ones is given. Results of analytical research are confirmed by numerical calculations.
