Abstract: In this paper a novel method is proposed which allows to perform elementwise and complex inspection of screw threads using coordinate measurements and computed tomography devices. Experimental part of the work was done using numerically simulated data and real data obtained from an X-ray CT-scanner Carl Zeiss Metrotom 1500.
Keywords: threads, tomography, CT-scanner.
