Parallelization algorithm for implicit method solution with use of the Navier–Stokes equations of hypersonic nonequilibrium gas flow over a body
A. B. Gorshkov TSNIIMASH, Korolev, Moscow region, Russia
Abstract:
Generalization for flows of nonequilibrium gas mixture is made of the proposed before parallelization algorithm for a computer code, developed for solution of the two-dimensional stationary Navier–Stokes equations with use of an implicit iterative scheme. The parallelization algorithm is based on the decomposition of a computation region into several parts according to the number of processors retaining the implicit type of the difference scheme in each subregion. Analysis of parallelization efficiency is carried out using an example of calculation of a flow past a reentry vehicle moving in the Earth atmosphere with hypersonic velocity. The presented algorithm showed a good scalability for the number of processors $N\le15$.
