Abstract:
The results of numerical modeling of power laser pulse interaction with low density porous matters have been presented. Experimental data have been got at iodine laser “PALS” (laser energy up to 200 J and Full Width at Half Maximum – FWHM is about 0.4 ns). The porous matter has had average density from 2.25 to 18 mg/cm$^3$. A new physical-mathematical model of such plasma has been proposed. 2D numerical simulations have been made and good agreements between numerical and experimental results have been demonstrated.
