Correlation adaptometry. Models and applications to biomedical systems

Abstract:
An approach to mathematical modelling of the mechanisms underlying the correlation adaptometry methods widely used in biology and medicine is described. The analysis is based on models employed in descriptions of structured biological systems, including a technique developed for using the evolutionary optimality properties of these systems. Some examples are discussed in which a method of this kind is applied to estimate the influence of environmental factors on biological populations.
