On McCormack's scheme application to calculation of relaxing flows in axisymmetrical channels with central body of limited length

A. V. Chirikhin

Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute
Abstract: The numerical method, based on the replacing of near-axial region of free space by the central bodies with neglectly small diameter, is proposed. In this case the boundary condition of solid wall may be emploid on the whole internal boundary of solution region. On the basis of numerical scheme and calculation analysis it is shown, that such advance don't disturbe the reproduction of spacing flow structure for known standard configurations of axisymmetrical nozzles. The numerical results for nitrogen relaxing flows in the plug nozzles with limited central bodies are presented.
