Reconstruction of ecological disaster in the Azov Sea on the basis of mathematical models

Abstract:
In the paper it is considered reconstruction of ecological 2001 disaster — forming of huge anaerobic zone in the Azov Sea. Reconstruction is realized on the basis of mathematical models of hydrodynamics and suspensions transport for shallow water basins. It is shown that the main reason of such phenomena is stable structures of currents in the eastern part of the Azov Sea, which was detected theoretically, and then their existence was confirmed experimentally. Results of numerical simulation have been obtained on parallel computing system are in good agreement of expedition investigations results and other experimental data.
