Computational algorythm of a hydrodynamical version of Stefan problem by dynamic adapting grid

P. V. Breslavskiy, V. I. Mazhukin

National Center of Mathematical Modelling of USSR Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The numerical solution algorythm of Stefan problem with explicit front-tracking is suggested. Finite-difference schemes using dynamic adapting grids are presented. The problem to be investigated is a melting dynamic of overheated solid core of a finite length. Computational results are compared with selfsimiliar solution.
