Abstract:
Computations and analysis of MHD-flows in coaxial channels of plasma accelerators and some problems on comparing them with possible experiments are in question. Two?dimensional flow computations show, that the steady-state flow picture and electric current spreading about the channel depend on the ratio of the gas and magnetic pressures at the duct entry. The basic data for computations are connected with the flow characteristics, measured in experiments, by means of approximate models of steady-state flows – the quasionedimensional approach and the “smooth channel” one. We present here the mathematical matter of these models and give some examples of using them.
