Mathematical modelling of gaz radiation ahead of strong shoch wave

V. I. Alfyorov, L. Yu. Sklyarov, A. A. Shinelev
Abstract: To mathematical models have been proposed concerning a plane shock wave and a flow over a cylinder. Integral equations describing a photon diffusion process (Doppler and Voigt spectral line shales) can be solved numerically to provide data on a distribution of concentration of excited atoms. The analytical results are now compared with experimental data obtained for a cylinder in a $\mathrm M_\infty=6.2$ free stream flow at stagnation parameters $\mathrm P_0=20$ at, $\mathrm P_0=3500$ K. Good agreement in results for a Voigt line shape is worthy to note.
