Modeling of the local impulse energy input in closed gas volume

O. A. Nehamkina, M. Kh. Strelets

Russian Research Centre "Applied Chemistry"
Abstract: Based on the Navier–Stokes system of equations, a numerical modeling of the dynamics of the processes which accompany the instantaneous local impulse energy input in closed 2D rectangular domains was made by application of Chacravarty TVD-scheme. The influence on the structure of the arising flow of the main state parameters: intensity of energy input, correlations of longitudial and transversal domain dimensions and Reynolds number was analysed.
