Mathematical modeling for one method of ultrasound computed tomography

A. A. Timonov, A. A. Egorushkin, S. G. Chubukova

M. V. Keldysh Institute for Applied Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: One method of the ultrasound computed tomography, proposed by A. A. Timonov, is considered. The mathematical model of this method bases on the ray's approximation of acoustics and it is valid for a slowly varying medium and high-frequency incident waves. The reconstruction regularized algorithm is constructed. Numerical experiments with this model and algorithm are implemented. Application of the method to medical diagnostics of mammae is also discussed.
