Abstract:
Three-dimensional numerical model to discribe plasma cloud expansion into non-uniform partially ionized gas background with frozen magnetic field is developed. Initial equation system of single-fluid magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) is formulated in Cartesian system of coordinates in divergent and non-divergent forms. To computate numerically two finite-difference methods with the Eulerian grid are used: MacCormack's method of the second order with flow correction and hybrid method of first-second order with respect to space coordinates and of the first order with respect to time, the scheme of “donor sells” being used. The numerically results of modelling “Argus” experiment are presented.
