Abstract: Modelling of the electric field in frequency domain by vector finite element method is considered. New algebraic approach for multigrid method is offered. In this approach damping the low frequency error on coarse grid is interpreted as algebraic projection problem. By using this approach multigrid algorithm was developed, numerical experiments confirm the efficiency of the method.
