The calculation of radiative transfer in a hot air

Abstract:
Method oi Lebesgue averaging for many-resonance radiation spectrum has been introduced recently. The present paper describes the numerical results obtained by application of this method to problems of radiative transfer in hot air. Parameters of problems correspond to conditions that arise near a solid body in hypersonic motion in the Earth atmosphere. We demonstrate the effectiveness of method in comparison with the multigroup approximation and pointwise spectrum calculations. Finally, we discuss the application of Lebesgue averaging method to radiative transfer in heterogeneous media, and we present numerical results for the test problem.
