Finite-difference methods for computing small oscillations of an incompressible fluid
P. N. Vabishchevich Institute for Mathematical Modelling, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract:
Small oscillations of an incompressible fluid with a free boundary are considered. The Laplace equation is satisfied in the calculation domain, but second-order time-dependent boundary conditions are imposed on a free boundary. Three-level difference schemes are constructed, stability and convergence problems are examined and test predictions are provided.
