Mass diffusion models in multicomponent gas mixtures
I. A. Sokolova Institute for Mathematical Modelling, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract:
The theoretical investigations of the transport diffusion properties of gas-plasma mixures are analyzed to provide data for many practical application that needed for gasdynamic dicisions, as well as in the development of environmently harmless thechnologies, the combustion and flame diffusion study, and potential functions determination from emperical transport properties. The transport eqiuations based on the kinetic theory and expressions for diffusion coefficients are investigated. The validity of some theoretical approaches and errors of simplifying are assessed. The renewed semiemperical formulae for diffusion coefficients in multicomponent gas mixtures which are verified by rigorous calculations are derived.
