Numerical modeling of the crystal growth by uncrucible zone fusion method

M. P. Marchenko, I. V. Fryazinov

M. V. Keldysh Institute for Applied Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: Two approaches to the modeling of the crystal growth by uncrucible zone fusion method are considered in this paper. In the first one the free surface shape is calculated, while in another one it is assumed fixed and cylindrical. Numerical results of both studies are compared. The possibility of decreasing of thermocapillary convection by means of constant magnet field is investigated.
