Abstract: The numerical modeling of the process of the laser resonant ionization of the sodium vapors in conditions of radiation transfer on the atomic transition 3S1/2 $\longleftrightarrow$ 3P3/2 with wavelength 589 nm is executed. The physical and mathematical model included: the non-stationary kinetic equations for two level atomic populations, the equations for electronic density and electronic temperature; the radiation transfer equation. The numerical method of the received system of the integro-differential equations is developed for three-dimensional on a spatial variables configuration of volume, looking like final cylinder. The influence of the radiation transfer on kinetics of ionization, excitation and luminescence of the sodium vapors is investigated for a case of photoexcitation of the entire atomic volume and photoexcitation of the small area of the sodium vapors by spatial-limited in the cross section laser beam.
