M. V. Keldysh Institute for Applied Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The numerical solution of Landau–Fokker–Planck equation for the electron distribution function in infinite plasma with variable electric field is carried out. We have used the completely conservative difference schemes. Degree of convergence with mesh refinement is estimated. The strong distribution function anisotropy in the electric field direction takes place for the semiperiod of the plasma heating by the variable electric field.
