Abstract:
An implicit unidirectional finite-difference scheme with exponential approximation is suggested for the viscous shock layer calculations. The scheme is tested using the model linear equations and the set of simplified Navier–Stokes equations. The results of the viscous shock layer calculations are compared with those obtained with the use of the central difference formulae.
