Abstract:
The numerical study of liquefied gas accidental releases into the atmosphere was carried out. The proposed mathematical models describe thermo-gas dynamics and heat-mass transfer processes running while liquefied gas boils on soil and explosive vapors are spreaded in the atmospheric ground layer. In particular, simulation of non isotermal dense vapor cloud evolution was made by means of numerical intergration of a complete set of Reynolds threedimensional unsteady nonlinear equations for viscous compressible heat conductive gas in the field of gravity within the scope of algebraic eddy viscosity submodel. Results of numerical modeling of probable accidental releases of liquefied petroleum gas from high-pressure vessels are given.
