On the stability of viscous liquid spherical layer

V. K. Andreev, E. A. Ryabitskii

Institute of Computational Modelling, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The model considered is a unsteady motion of spherical layer of viscous incompressible fluid. The stability of equilibrium and quasi-static motion is studied by the usual perturbation method. The influence of viscosity, surface tension and the role of spherical layer dynamics are discussed.
