Abstract: The variational-grid method of the theory of plates is considered. The method is based on application of the mixed variational principle and orthogonal finite functions determined on triangular grids. The fast convergence of the approached decisions for displacements and stresses and their satisfactory accuracy are shown. The advantages of algorithms of such mixed methods are marked.
