Abstract:
The model of partial chemical equilibrium is produced for the case of reacting gas mixture flow in which chemical reactions have considerably different rates. As this model takes place some of the diffusion equations are substituted for the detailed chemical equilibrium relationships with the help of new variables introduction. The linear combinations of mass fractions and those of diffusive fluxes are used as the new variables. The number of such equations is equal tj the number of fast independent chemical reactions in the mixture. In so doing the right parts of the rest diffusion equations have chemical component sources without fast stages. In is show that this model is suited to the description of viscous chemical reacting air flow over blunt-nosed bodies (1 m radius) entering the Earth atmosphere with hypersonic speed.
