Abstract:
The role of porous structures both artificial, and biological is huge in industrial technologies and in ability to live of alive organisms. Despite of their variety, all such structures have some similar properties. For example, the large influence on processes proceeding in porous systems the substances diffusion in pores renders. In particular, at performance of the certain conditions owing to slow diffusion in pores in internal areas of similar structures the inactive zone (so-called “dead zone”) can be formed. Inside of the “dead zone” the substances do not reach at all. In the given paper on the base of mathematical modeling methods “dead zones” in porous catalyst granules and in a membrane of a biosensor are investigated. The non-uniform spatially temporary structures arising in a bioselective membrane of a biosensor are analysed.
