Mathematical models and computer experiment

Self-similar solutions of magnetohydrodynamics equations with volume sources and flows

S. I. Agafonov, P. P. Volosevich

Institute for Mathematical Modelling, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: Self-similar solutions of magnetohydrodynamics equations with volume sources (flows) of mass and energy are studied in the case of plane symmetry. Qualitative analysis of solutions behavior is carried out. The existance of different types of shock waves is shown for gas with zero heat conductivity and infinite electric conductivity. Some properties of motion of gas with zero heat conductivity and finite electric conductivity are investigated.
