Abstract: A problem simulating an experiment on compression of deuterium in conical targets is considered. A modification of familiar method of constructing culvilinear grids of convex quadrilaterals with considerable decrease of computational cost is suggested. Numerical results up to collapsing a circular cumulative jet on the axis of symmetry are presented. An explanation of large difference in experimental neutron yields for two targets with different cone angles is given.
